LMH has a wide variety of college sports teams. All LMH teams are open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced blues athletes. See below for more information about each team and please get in touch with the captains if you have any questions (email

Badminton: Freddie Gent

The LMH Badminton club train at Ferry Road Leisure Centre and compete in the colleges league. All welcome!

It might be unexpected, but croquet cuppers is one of the most participated in sporting events at LMH. Teams of four players enter and play matches against other colleges in Trinity term which generally means good weather and good opportunities for college tourism.

Football (Men’s): Jack Palmer (

LMH has three men’s football teams. All the teams play weekly matches in the colleges league as well as in the Cuppers knock out tournament.

Football (Women’s): Penny Streatfeild (

The women’s football team is joint with Trinity College and competes in the colleges league and in Cuppers. There are usually 5-6 matches per term and when the weather is nice we train on the back lawn at LMH! Beginners are welcome!

Hockey (Mixed): Rory Kenney-Herbert (

The mixed hockey team are a pretty good bunch. They enter cuppers and the colleges league each year and play matches at the Dragon astro pitch which is literally a stone’s throw from LMH. Rumour has it they’ve got a really fetching team goalie kit now as well.

Netball (Mixed): Alanah St James (

College netball is open to men and women. Training is on Saturday mornings and matches are generally weekly and on a Friday or Saturday.

Pool cuppers is played in Hilary term and involves a team of keen pool players taking on teams from other colleges, either in the LMH bar or in other college bars.

Rugby (Men’s): Marcus Brockman (

LMH has a joint rugby team with St Hugh’s college. If you love mud, getting cold, and throwing a ball that isn’t round then drop Marcus an email and get involved. The team plays in the colleges league.

Like racquet sports, hitting things, and competing against other colleges? Join the LMH squash club who train at Wolfson College (10 minute walk from LMH and racquets provided).

Tennis: Sam Sanders

Touch Rugby (Mixed): Joe Gage

If you’re more of a fair-weather rugby player then touch rugby is for you! Trinity term sees LMH competing in the colleges touch rugby competition.

Zumba/Pilates: Amy Lyons and Eleanor Watts

Zumba and Pilates classes are weekly at LMH on a Monday, Zumba 8-9pm and Pilates 9-10pm. The woman who runs them is lovely and they come at the bargain price of £2 per session (subsidised by college!).

Yoga: Currently not running 

Weekly yoga sessions are available at LMH and are held on Thursday evenings!
